Utilizing drawing, painting, and photography ephemera, I create temporary installations that are lit and photographed. Sound bites and video loops. Dramatic, yet at once playful, the materials crawl in and out of the aesthetics of which they are viewed and the space they reside.
Portions of this project began as a collaboration with artist Tressa Pack, where we exchanged our failed paintings and photographs, scraps, and studio ephemera, as a visual conversation, a call and response where each artist used the other's "failings" to create new work for the other to respond to. Some of these call and response pieces grew into larger independent projects for each artist.
