Taking its title from a poem in Catalina Cariaga's "Cultural Evidence," of flesh and tea is developed with audio cassette recordings of silent moments that allude to space and site from the Audio Archive Booth. The resonance of these spaces on magnetic tape is transferred to a large reflective sheet of dark smokey plexiglass asserted within the shelves of the library at slash gallery. Appearing to be a structural element, it is at times ambiguous, implicating the viewer into the work by reflecting insomuch as one is willing to listen and be reflected upon.
